I’m Gen X and I’m not even near retirement age. I spend as much time as I can with my grandchild. I think yall are delusional thinking Gen X isn’t still working in this day and time. Plus many Gen X parents have children still they are raising so maybe do some research before speaking out.

Gen X from 1966, I answer every time my kids call, and especially set time aside for my grandbabies. I pray and wish they could call more often. This is not a Gen X problem! Also a lot of my friends are raising their grandchildren as this next generation are much more often abandoning them at “Mawmaw and Pawpaws house.” Grandparents step right into those shoes without complaint.

Gen X here, have helped my single daughter raise my 3 YO granddaughter since day 1. I take her to daycare everyday, work full time and keep her when I can, but it isn’t all the time. I do what I can.
