For the deposit for our dogs it’s $500 each and then the monthly rent to just have them in the apartment is $50 each, renting is stupid.

$120 for a deposit is cheap compared to my complex. They charge $500 per pet and then $25 per month per pet.

I was in an apartment where they charged a $300 deposit per pet, we had three, and when we left, none of that $900 went to cleaning/damages. It was literally $900 for them just existing….

I live in a trailer park. I own my trailer. I have to pay a monthly pet fee on lot rent because my dogs poops outside. There some people who have to pay a monthly pet fee for their fully indoor cats.

Hence, why California only allows landlords to get first months rent in deposit. They can no longer ask for last months rent. Nor can they charge pet rent

in ontario Canada, idk about the other provinces, a no pets clause is void according to the government, I also don't think they can technically charge extra for pets either
