Sand and saltwater are a big no no for most electronics. Even water resistant ones. I’ve lost phones and smart watches because of ocean.

I had a project once and got my camera wet with salt water, I rushed to get myself a bottled water and washed that down, camera still works 3yrs after until now

Seawater and electronic dont mix. Only use action cams in dive case near the water.

i had a similar experience with my nikon d850. it wasnt from salt water. it was sea breaze. because i lived in a coastal area in srilanka. still today i cannot recover from that lost. 😥

its because of sand and salt water. u should have wash it down with a bottle of water right after use. that's what I did after taken sea side activity shots. works fine even after 5yrs++. 🤗🤗
