He’s not wrong tho. That surface rust will grind off probably the next trip. At the loss of break pedal wouldn’t be noticeable if your old pads were gone you would have more than you had.

Pads without replacing rotors is kinda a risk you gotta explain to the customer. Not worth the comeback for the vibration when the old rotors inevitably cause one.

I’ve been doing it for 15yrs. What Dave said isn’t wrong esp as a shop owner that could get sued if something happens. But yea it’s ok to pad slap if you need to. I wouldn’t put my name on it though

Two sets of pads per rotor, bad A/C compressor clutch means new A/C compressor. You can't find clutches easily available here, among other reasons why we just replace the entire compressor.

Things like that are normal in the UK as long as the discs don’t have a huge lip warping or major cracking just pads are the norm
