@sooziethefoodie: One of the coolest fruits in the world in my opinion will forever be ice cream beans! Today my dream was accomplished because I was able to get ice cream beans fresh off the tree here in Orlando! These were massive!! The tree was huge yet only 6 years old- apparently these trees grow extremely quick here in Orlando. Ice cream beans have a crunchy sponge like pod around the seed which is edible. It is slightly juicy and so refreshing! The flavor is lightly sweet and I think it has hints of melon. The seeds are also edible but only if fully cooked before consuming- though the seeds in the ones I got were sprouted so I saved them for a friend to plant 🫛 #rarefruit #icecreambean
