@thatgoodnewsgirl: A baby bird, now named Taquito, was found all alone at a Texas backyard barbecue, and kept warm in a flour tortilla until wildlife rehabbers could arrive. 🐦 The Mississippi Kite was taken to the Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, where she is making great progress and is expected to be released back into the wild once she reaches maturity and can survive on her own. ❤️ Note: If you find a baby animal that you think needs help, remember to always call wildlife experts for advice! In this case, Taquito was in fact too young to be alone and out of her nest and her parents were no longer around. 🪹 However, in some cases, juvenile birds may just be learning to fly and their parents may still be nearby.
