That said - cutting people off shouldn't be your go-to solution for every conflict. Try having the hard conversations first. Set clear boundaries. Give them a chance to make it right. But if they continue to disrespect those boundaries? If they refuse to acknowledge the harm they've caused? If they keep showing you who they are? Believe them the first time and protect your peace.
