This this this. Our prong changed our life and allows so much more freedom & easier for us to take them out in public allowing more new places!!✨

I fully believe everyone should work with a good trainer when getting a dog. It has taught me so much

Tool conditioning is a process, it’s a form of communication between you and your dog and they need time to learn what that pressure means

As a dog groomer I have dogs come in with prong collars on with their tags on them and I don’t understand why ppl use them as everyday colllars .

Right. The prong has to be fitted. I have a super dog reactive GSD. I wouldn’t be able to walk her without a prong. I tried. She’s nuts. I hope I can help her get to a point we don’t need it anymore.

Amen! We use prong e collar but I worked with several professional trainers to introduce them. I don’t like to talk about it or promote it b/c people

THANK YOUUUU!! I feel like people shouldn’t be able to buy a prong unless they get it from a professional. I see prongs used wrong literally everyday it drives me crazy

Literally this. Yet people don’t train themselves on how to use them, which is the first step - then the pup. When everyone’s trained - can be great tools.

if you are just starting to condition a dog to, or if you have a more sensitive dog, it is okay to have the prong lower on the neck. still shouldn't be loose though

yes! a few weeks ago I met a lab with a 3.25 on (I will say it looked like it was sized correctly other than the gauge)... ON A RETRACTABLE LEASH. I had to just walk away 😭

High & tight isn’t always right! If she’s yanking on it yeah that’s probably wrong but high & tight is the area with the most sensitivity, meaning it’s not always necessary. It shouldn’t be hanging,

My pet peeve is people that get a prong or tool right away. Your dog might not even need a tool. And if they do then your trainer can help select the right tool and train you.
