@tangibleword: Like I do once in a long while, I intentionally post a catalogue of 'scars' on me just for those who think we keep thanking God because we have a smooth life to know that some of us are wearing a certain 'make-up' called GRACE. The young man you see in the attached picture has; 1. Lost a house he started building as well as the plot of land the building was on; 2. Lost a shoe shop he jointly invested in; 3. Lost a partial scholarship to study and play football in a university abroad; 4. Lost football trial opportunities; 5. Failed school examinations; 6. Been demoted in school before; 7. Been denied university admission before; 8. Been denied promotion at work before; 9. Been robbed in his house before; 10. His car has been burgled before; 11. Lost monies to some investments; Betrayed by loved ones; Accused wrongly and suffered consequences; Disgraced in front of Pastors; Disappointed by so many people on so many occasions;...etc. You see, the reason he keeps counting his blessings and not his disappointments is that, he has learnt from experience, one important thing; When you start thanking God for the good things He did for you yesterday, the ones He is doing for you today will be pending for you to thank Him tomorrow. You would not even have time to count your disappointments. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
