on a newer 6.7? We only change the upper oil pans. plus the ccv is what causes the leaks not the seals. it's clogs up and makes to much crank case pressure

It’s because no one changes the filters on the Crank Case Venelation box. When those plug they blow your rear main seal due to the amount of pressure.

Am not a fan of right stuff on a rubber seals, what I have done is soak the seal in oil over night, and so far look like it did work

I have yet to have any rear main issues following the procedure but it seems every other front main I do leaks and I gotta do it again. I don’t think silicone is the answer. What about anerobic sealer
