Going to LA to shoot an episode of a competition show with other amazingly talented women? No, thank you. At least that’s what I thought in the moment. And I’m glad I changed my mind. One of the biggest things I’ve learned through the experience of being on season 3 of @behr’s To DIY For Is that getting out of your comfort zone is essential for growth. I changed my mindset and decided I would go And make it a fun experience- try things I’ve never tried, use colors I’ve never used go all out on the creativity, and experiment with different styles. whether I made it to the end or not. I learned that I work well with a partner (though almost every project I do on my own so I was convinced I was a loner) That you don’t have to feel “good enough” you just have to be willing to try and willing to fail in that process. I walked away from this experience with more than I ever thought I could. A new sense of self. But I also learned that working on a time crunch is really really really difficult and trying to cram a whole bunch of creative ideas.
