@cookwithchay: Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken Bowl 1. 1.5 pounds chicken thighs about 5 thighs 2. 1/2 teaspoon salt and black pepper 3. 2 tablespoons corn starch 4. 2 tablespoons olive oil 5. 1 tablespoon butter 6. 8-10 garlic minced Spicy honey garlic sauce 1. 1/3 cup honey 2. 1/3 cup broth 3. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 4. 1 tablespoon soy sauce 5. 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce 6. 1 teaspoon chili flakes - more for garnish 7. Garnish with chopped parsley. 1. Make white rice . Steam your favorite vegetable like broccoli. 2. Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside 3. Season chicken thighs with salt , black pepper and corn starch. Massage well into chicken. 4. In a skillet or cast iron skillet add 2 tablespoons olive oil and cook and sear the chicken on medium heat for approximately 7-8 minutes (cover if needed to keep the heat in ) flip and cook another 7-8 minutes. ( add olive oil if needed or seems to dry ) 5. Make space in the center and add a pat of butter . 6. Add in the garlic and cook garlic on low heat . Don't burn the garlic. About 30 seconds. 7. Add in the sauce . ( give it a good mix first ) 8. The sauce with start to bubble and thicken. Add parsley and chili flakes. Flip the chicken a few times to get a good coating of the sauce. Remove from the heat so you don't loose all the sauce. 9. Serve immediately over rice and your favorite vegetables.
