For paychecks, biweekly means every other week or 26 paychecks a year. Bi-monthly will be 2 paychecks a month or 24 paychecks a year. In most instances, biweekly means every other week.

To me Bi-Weekly is 2x week. Bi-Monthly is 2x Monthly. Semi-annual is 2x Yr.

Definitely both. In medical field we aren’t supposed to use bi weekly for this exact reason.

Bi- is every other. Semi- is twice per. People have used bi- incorrectly for so long that it’s become acceptable either way. If you look up literally, it can be figuratively for the same reason. 🤷♂️
