I work as a security guard at an office building and a baby opossum got stuck in the building during my night shift. I had to leave a door open until he felt safe enough to leave on his own.

I rescued a baby possum out my pool and it did that. And while I know they play dead I'd forgot in the moment and started crying I didn't get to it fast enough 😅
