I’ve rescued cats for over 35+ years & when I arrive home with a new one they all have a look & a sniff then go back to what they were doing…..it’s like “ oh hey, how ya going? come on in”….😂

Hissing doesn’t automatically mean aggression. Could also be overstimulation or nervous. May just be feeling too much about the situation. If that helps

It took us 6 months to fully integrate our kittens with our older cats bc one of them stopped eating when we brought in a cat for a few days after getting her spayed 😬
