@pbsnews: Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday criticized former President Donald Trump’s varying answers on his commitment to take part in another presidential debate before Election Day. During a campaign rally in Atlanta, Harris said that Trump had pulled out of the debate. In May, Trump committed to a Sept. 10 debate on ABC when President Joe Biden was the presumptive Democratic nominee. Biden exited the race earlier this month after debating Trump and endorsed Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination. In a phone call with journalists last week, Trump said he felt an “obligation” to debate Harris, but then later said on Fox that he will “probably end up debating … but I can also make a case for not doing it.” Harris said Tuesday that the momentum of the 2024 race for the White House “is shifting, and there are signs that Donald Trump is feeling it.” “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage because as the saying goes, ‘If you got something to say, say it to my face,’” she said to cheers from the crowd.
