It is naturally occuring in both meats and vegetables - most commonly in greens like spinach. 📝 Vitamin K3 is the synthetic form of Vitamin K can be found on labels as many different names, including Menadione dimethylpyrimidinol bisulfite, but also vague phrases like ‘a source of vitamin K activity’. 🐠 Vitamin K supplementation is required in fish based foods with 25% or more fish, but that doesnt mean it can’t be used in other foods as well. ❓ What do y’all think about Vitamin K3? Would you use a food that includes it? 🌱 Im always a proponent of natural vitamin sources, but when looking at commercial pet foods, we know thats not often possible or prioritized.
