I paid 9 years for a 13 year marriage but it was supposed to be 15 years. Make sure you put a cohabitation clause in there. That's how I was able to end it.

My in laws were married 35 years. She wasn’t allowed to work while they were together. 35th anniversary he said btw I’m leaving you - she got alimony and part of his army pension and child support
