@eastcoastdiy: With this new storm on its way 😭 Here are a few things I wish I would’ve known. It makes me so sad to see the first video that I took the day before Hurricane Ian… Make sure you take one of your home if you are anywhere near the path this Hurricane Season 🙏 #disastertodreamhome
Ok what is your full time job ? Or do you just remodel homes .

It boggles my mind that you have to buy separate insurance for every little thing and then have the audacity to cap the coverage at 250k

Amen, Amen! Every thing you just said! Private adjuster 1st priority. Private flood insurance next. For us it’s about the same price as NFIP BUT we have contents now. We flooded in 2016.

How did you get an SBA loan to build a house? Those loans are for small businesses not for home construction.

How can the bank allow you to carry a mortgage on a house that no line exists. That makes no sense for them ? They have no mercy.

Why wouldn’t they offset the mortgage? The house is no longer on the lot. Second question, your new house won’t have a new mortgage payment. Correct? Meaning you wouldn’t have two mortgage payment?

What’s the first house underinsured? Usually negotiating a fair settlement with the insurance and mortgage company, wipes out that first loan. You have enough images to show evidence of fair comp.
