YES 👏🏼 cancer reconstruction isn’t pretty like cosmetics and it saves lives. It’s a horrible procedure and horrible recovery for anyone already going through cancer treatment. You’re amazing.

Doctor, being raised in a medical family, I was told that many physicians are conservative. Often with a “petty bourgeois” mindset. And that surgeons were the most self-entitled and even arrogant of the lot. To what extent do you see that in your interactions with colleagues?

Egotistical male doctor, I am sorry for people that need care from him. As a 78 year old male, that has had my share of doctoring over the years, I will always seek out a female doctor. Many male doctors that have seen, think that they walk on water and want you to know how great they are. Women doctors are equal or greater in skill level, and far better in listening skills and compassion.

I had a double mastectomy in February. My plastic surgeon let me cry in her office when I was upset about not being able to breastfeed my next baby. The most badass and caring person I’ve ever met!
