Lunchtime Madness Part 4 - Arayes Recipe ⬇️ Meet my new favorite obsession – Arayes! These pita pockets are filled with a perfectly seasoned meat, then pan-fried to crispy perfection. Arayes Ingredients - 2 lbs Ground Beef - 1.5 Tbsp Ground Cumin - 1.5 Tbsp Sumac - 2 Tbsp Paprika - 2.5 Tbsp Salt - 1.5 Tbsp Pepper - 1.5 Bunches Parsley (fresh) - 5 Garlic Cloves - 1/2 White Onion - 2 Jalapeños - 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce - Pack of Pita Bread Sauce Ingredients: - 1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt - 4 Tbsp Za’atar - 1 Garlic Clove (grated) - 1/2 Tbsp Salt - 1 Lemon Squeeze + Zest - 1 Tbsp Avocado Oil - 1-2 Tbsp Tahini - 1/4 Cup Water (optional, to thin) - 1 tsp Honey (optional, for sweetness) How to Make the Arayes: 1. In a food processor or blender, combine parsley, garlic, onion, and jalapeños. Blend until everything is finely chopped. Once done, place the mixture in a paper towel and press to remove any excess moisture. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, cumin, sumac, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the veggie mixture and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined. 3. Carefully stuff the prepared beef mixture into the pita bread, making sure it’s evenly distributed. 4. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the stuffed pitas on all sides for about 2 minutes each, using chili oil to add a nice golden color. Be sure the meat is fully cooked through. 5. For an extra touch, melt butter and mix with chili oil. Brush this mixture over the pitas as soon as they come off the heat for a rich, flavorful finish. 6. Combine all the enhanced sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and adjust consistency with water if needed. Add honey for sweetness if desired. #Recipe #carnivore #cooking #Foodie #arayes
