In Ireland, the bridal party don’t pay for anything, like zero !! They just get their own drinks at the dinner, but everything from dresses, makeup, hair, tux etc are covered by the couple !!!

I felt bad in '93, asking them to rent $35 dress. I did say, I understand if you say no. I had rented MOH dress when ex whinned that he wanted 2 more groomsman. Of course he wasn't doing their tux.
