I’m normally not a fan of painting brick. But in this case I think you’re absolutely right and I love the contrast between the dark roof and the lighter brick and panelling of the house. Also this is your home that you’re going to live in and from what you said about the paint it seems like you’ve clearly given this choice a lot of thought. And from what I’ve seen as a follower of your account for the past few years, a lighter house seems to be your style so I don’t really know why people would be surprised.
