Our small team of just four people runs everything here at the shelter, each of us working regular jobs and then dedicating our time to saving animals. We’ve sacrificed hobbies, family time, and personal lives to keep going, but without you, none of it would be possible. You’re the reason we can save those who need us most and never have to say no. Most of you donate through GoFundMe, it’s transparent, simple, and you can see all my personal details, shelter information, and every receipt for your donations. But not everyone has good intentions. Yesterday, someone contacted me, upset because we don’t have an address listed on GoFundMe. I explained that our shelter is in a field with no exact address and that I use an Irish bank account because I lived in Ireland before returning to Moldova. But he ignored my explanations, refused a video call to verify everything, and instead chose to report our GoFundMe, calling it a scam. I have always been as transparent as possible, sharing every receipt to show exactly where your donations go. I’m hopeful GoFundMe support will listen to our side. If they don’t, it could mean the end of our shelter. Over 190 dogs in our care may go hungry because of one person’s actions, which would be a heartbreaking outcome.
