In primary school my teacher was always mad at me and she said that I don't pay attention which I still don't understand because I was paying attention I was listening.

I had a teacher try calling me out in math for drawing and she asked what she’d just said and for the answer. Repeated it back to her exactly and answered correctly. She never bothered me after that.

I learned that early on as a kid so I’d pretend to pay attention and then teach myself more or less how to do the work. They weren’t good at teaching

This kind of thing made me drop out of senior science in high school but I always found the best trick was to say what they were saying back to them, it shows you really were listening.

I learned that I have been secret stimming my whole life when I'm trying to listen to someone.I draw on my leg with my finger. They usually don't notice it.
