Anyway, DesignsForDollsSariff on Etsy made a fabulous recreation of the Balmain dress and I just simply had to have it. 😍 The garment is wonderfully produced — dare I say, it might be better than the original! It has some mesh lining on the inside, and the closure at the back? It’s a zipper! The dress might look too extreme to some, but I love it. It’s couture. She looks like a hot pink frilled lizard…but fashion! 😆 The model here is an old (very old) 2007 Top Model Resort Barbie in a Barbie Fashionista body. I’m slowly trying to bring back all of my old Barbies and add them to my current collection. I definitely wanted to bring this girl back because her screening is so beautiful, so striking. Very unique-looking compared to my other Mackie face dolls. I lost her clothes and accessories due to a flood more than a decade ago. She’s been rotting in a storage container for more than a decade.
