I drilled a 2“ hole in the air box. Used an air gun to first blow as much dust out as possible. Then garden hose to wash the rest out. 30 minutes later the air flow is nice. Easy fix

It is not really as bad as it looks after you do it a couple times you can have that dash out in about 45 minutes

I cut about a 3x3 square out of the hvac housing to the side of the evaporator, spray it with coil cleaner, wash it off with water. Done in about 30 minutes. Reseal the hvac access panel just made with ac insulation tape. I’m sure you would need permission on a customer vehicle but the fleet trucks I work on don’t mind.

Drilled a 2” hole in my housing and 3D printed a cover for it looks factory and gets cleaned a couple times a year on the ranch

Could this be the same for a 97 f150? Air is cold, just weak. Replaced blower motor and resistor.

My 2004 Tahoe doesn’t have a cabin filter and the ac still works great front and back. 283k miles 🤷
