School secretary here-very common for BOTH parents not to be sure what grade there kid is in. I have 600 kids to keep track of and I often remind parents of their kids’ grade level.😁

Unfortunately, as a teacher, I saw many fathers who not only didn’t know what grade their child was in, they didn’t know child’s age or birthday. Moms do all the parenting 99% of the time.

My husband with all 3 of our kids. They don’t do anything to remind them of the grade. With 5 schools in our town he never knew for sure who was going to which school!
