It’s best to combine Pilates or yoga AND weights. For what it’s worth I’ve been teaching Pilates for a decade, it’s what I suggest to all my clients. Strength + control and form + mobility = WIN

i think it’s because that “toned” look comes from minimal muscle definition and low body fat. lifting weights just makes the muscles bigger, in turn making the arms look bulkier. more muscle = bulky
