Love this! also that it’s not in front of the entire school because the elementary trauma I went through getting awards monthly in front of the school with no rules on what the award could be!!

When i was in elementary school, every Friday we had good choice Friday and super coupon. So we would all sign up for an activity on Friday and it would be fun, like gonoodle or extra recess. Super coupon was if you were good and also participated in class you would be rewarded with the slip of paper, you’d fill out your name then put it in a basket.

fucking reminds me of when I got an award at school that usually went for academics and my math teacher said "she's not the best at math..... buuuttt she's good with other things!"

i love that cause when we get awards it’s only for the “smart kids” it’s never for being a good person or anything it’s annoying and it isn’t good for people’s confidence in asking for help

My year 12 year advisor would try to convince me to leave school and yeah I'd smoke at school but she literally blackmailed some boy who wasn't the best kid at school to trap me by asking for a hit. I started mvp of the week in my 6th grade math classroom and they LOOOVE IT! They sit in my comfy chair from marketplace with a lap desk all week and that’s it but they love it still!
