Interesting. We’ve got a few brands who we work with that have raised anywhere from £250k - £5M. From what we’ve seen, don’t raise until you really really need too (and know where / how to spend it)

I pitched to angel investors (and some VCs) for a significant round of investment and honestly didn’t like any of the people I pitched to. Turned down the cash and moved on, don’t regret it one bit👌

I raised £250k for my last company, was the most difficult and painful thing I’ve ever done hahaha. I think if you’ve got very reliable growth channels, then do it. Otherwise, not worth the hassle

It’s so important to raise at the right time for YOU not bc it’s the done thing. It’s insanely hard but if you have traction + lack of funding is restricting your growth then it’s time to raise

have you read "shoe dog". talks about the growth of Nike, might be useful. VCs take a chunk, there are lots of events talking about pros and cons of VC investment. recommend checking them out

Same boat, completely bootstrapped, roughly 18 months in too. A nice 100k investment would change the world for us but at the same time, debt is cheaper than equity!
