I always keep an empty corn or bean can and throw my grease in there and freeze them and then throw them away the can when full on trash day.

No no no! At least in Greece we put the used oil into the plastic bottle it came with and we give to big supermarkets that recycle it ecologicaly. ☺️

Well, honestly, I think this idea just creates more waste 😅. Using glass bottles or packaging and then taking them to recycling would be much better.
