@lisaremillard: #realestate #realtorcommission #homeprices Big changes are coming to the way we pay commissions to the real estate agents who represent us. Everything will change starting on Saturday. This video will explain what you can expect if you are buying or selling a home
This stinks! I work for a mortgage company, and our first time homebuyers will never be able to afford to pay the buyer agent commission :(

We don't need buyers agents. We need the internet and title companies.

I feel like more people will just buy without a realtor now

buyers don't need a agent in todays tech world. just a good lawyer

Why do we need agents! The seller advertises the house themselves online and the buyer already found it. We only need the title company.

It’ll make it harder for people to buy. If you can barely afford to buy because of the huge overinflated home prices, the extra fee will make it even harder.

So skip buyers agent and go directly to sellers agent

Another move to ensure buying a home especially first time, is more difficult.

In other words, private homeownership just ended and corporate ownership just got handed the entire market.

It’s really simple, everyone agrees that the seller pays the fees.

How does this help the buyer?

This won’t change anything. Either home prices will start to lower to reflect the increased costs on the buyers end, or the buyers can request seller credits to cover the extra costs.

Why do they keep trying to make it harder for us to get homes…this is getting ridiculous if not already

this will cause the buyers not to buy. not a good move. this will drive the housing market down and possibly a crash if enough houses come open.

Commission should be flat fee of $500

Or you could just do sell by owner and save the commission all together

Can we just make an app that does all the agent stuff for us, all paperwork and scheduling, owner off the app gets commission and we don’t need to worry about crooked realtors?

This is done to reduce buyers power, so big companies can buy more houses comfortably and we stay renting forever ♾️(forever subscription).

No. That’s always been the case… it just now can’t be listed on the mls which means the seller could potentially change it & discriminate now because it is no longer visible to the agent or public.

Another important thing for buyers: LENDERS usually won’t pay commission above the purchase price, meaning the buyer will have to pay OUT OF POCKET in addition to closing costs.
