Someone stole mine years ago & filed a disability claim & received $8k+ before I even knew bc it doesn’t show up on any credit reports or anything. Always check the SS website & monitor that too!

My credit is frozen until I need it and then I temporarily unfreeze it and then I refreeze it and then with my debit card I have that blocked as well and then I unblock it when I need it. But it begs the question why is our government not doing more to protect us?

Hmm fraud ruins my credit, I’m responsible but yet the people that are safeguarding my info gets a pass when hacks happens but then companies want to charge me money for others mistakes 🤔🤔🤷🏻

My credit has been frozen for years. Start freezing it when I started getting notices about new bank accounts being opened. You also want to freeze with NCTUE to freeze new utilities accounts.

the bigger problem is that there's company who whole job is to monitor, protect, and repair... if everyone social was secure those companies wouldn't exist. they make money when your SS is "hacked"

Credit freeze is free. A lock costs money. Dont fall for the lock! The freeze is just harder to find, they want you to buy the lock for no reason. Freeze it on all 3 credit bureaus
