You can pressure wash engine bay. just avoid connectors directly and disconnect battery. unless a lot of water seats in connectors it will be fine. ECU, alternator, etc isnt an issue.

So what I do is remove the battery and cover the fuse box with the garbage bag and cover the alternator with the garbage bag and I use degreaser and use a plastic brush after it sits for a minute
