Why don’t they allow their head and faces to finish growing before trying to rearrange their teeth? My tooth that was out of alignment came into place on its own when my jaw finished growing.

my son had a palate expander before braces and the ortho said his mouth will look a little wide but he will grow into it. I had a good one. it would be SO HARD to teach an 6-8 yr old tongue posture.

I got mine at 14. I'm 32 and teeth are still straight and even after my 4 wisdom teeth grew in straight.

Yes but to expand the airway you need the expander which comes with the braces at some practices. You get the expander first, the myo therapy.

I have tmjd and am in constant pain. A specialist years ago said he thought my orthodontist collapsed my arch with the work he'd done in my teens and that caused my jaw joint problems.

Our myofunctional therapist sent us to a orthodontist for an expander. The night guard wasn’t enough for him. He will have to go back to therapy once the expander comes off in a year.
