How did Sheinbaum respond? With even more weakness. She gave speech claiming that the Mexican War on Drugs has failed and ruling out foreign military intervention to fight the cartels because "Mexico is a free and sovereign country,” as if that isn’t obvious enough. Truth is, Mexico has been a political and economic basket case for a very long time. So this Banana Republic nonsense, while tragic and pathetic, is not surprising. But cartel crime and violence has reached the United States thanks to Joe Biden and the open border Democrats. And President Trump has made it clear that America will be fighting back against and eliminating these narco-terrorists by whatever means necessary if Mexico is unable or unwilling to do it--which appears to be the case. I think this assassination and Sheinbaum’s shameless inaction will trigger a mission against the cartel leaders and drug labs in Mexico by the U.S. military in the coming months. There will be no warning. It will be sudden, overwhelming, and effective, and it will end up benefiting innocent people in both countries, but especially Mexico.
