The psychologist who did my psycheducational evaluation always had a rule for fidgets. It should be able to use in 1 handed, silent/very quiet and under the desk/ in your lap.

My mom is a para and some of the kids in her student’s class have sensory strips stuck on the edge of their desk—they stay in place and work great!!

I have a student with this pencil box this year and the zipper is already broken and like 6 of the pop its are gone. It’s only week 2.🤦🏽♀️😂

Also the fidget is a for fidgeting now distracting them or others. Give them a small piece of brown putty & it does the same without making such a scene

I bought a pencil box for my daughter with raised silicone waves that she can run her fingers over. It is quiet and seems pretty durable
