Ingredients: 30cm French loaf or baguette 1 tbsp butter • 1 onion, sliced • Steers peri-peri sauce • Lettuce, shredded • Tomato, sliced • Red onion, sliced • Cheddar cheese, grated • Fried chips, seasoned (e.g., with Steers seasoning) • Cheese sauce @woolworths_sa • Spicy mayo (e.g., Sriracha mayo) 300g chicken breast, sliced thinly but wide enough to cover the surface of the bread Marinade: ¼ tsp each: ground cumin, smoked paprika, ground coriander, garlic powder, turmeric, oregano, cinnamon, chili powder Salt and pepper to taste 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste Olive oil Marinate chicken with the ingredients above. Let sit for at least 30 minutes. Heat olive oil in a pan. Cook the sliced onion until soft. Add marinated chicken and cook until done. Stir in Steers peri-peri sauce. Butter the bread, then layer shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and Cheddar cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Add cooked chicken, fried chips, cheese sauce, and spicy mayo. Top with sliced red onion. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread. Slice and enjoy!
