With PCOS, your period can sometimes feel more elusive than finding your size on the clearance rack 🩸 Irregular periods can show up differently for those with PCOS. While more people who struggle with irregular cycles will have absent periods - maybe only getting their periods a few times a year. Others may feel like they're getting their period every other week -- or that they're bleeding for 3 weeks at a time. For most, insulin resistance and high androgens are a common cause of irregular periods. Of course, other hormone imbalances and conditions could be the culprit such as estrogen imbalances, fibroids, polyps, etc. If I were trying to regulate my period before the end of 2025, these are a few things I'd do: 🍲 at your meals, combine complex carbs (think: fruits, veggies, whole grains, and legumes) with protein and healthy fats ⏱️ eat regular meals (and snacks too if needed) -- undereating can be a common cause of missing periods 🦪 include a wide variety of foods to ensure you're getting a good mix of nutrients that support healthy blood sugar levels, ovulation, and hormone health 🫖 drinks spearmint tea daily 🚶♀️ get more walking in as able 💊 if you're interested in giving supplements a go to give your body a boost, I've seen many people respond really well to Ovasitol (or Ovasitol Plus if inositol-resistant) #pcosawareness #pcosproblems #irregularperiods
