Is her liver functioning well? Sometimes the build-up of ammonia due to the liver not working can cause confusion.

keep a journal of all the times this happens. it will help the psychiatrist and you in the long run. times, dates, what was said, severity of the incident. I promise it will help

I’m assuming mom has been diagnosed? There is a mouth swab Dr can do that will tell the Dr what medication would work best with her body instead of having to do trial and error to stabilize her.

Along with a psychiatrist, it’s important to just have regular counseling. You should be able to set them up on Zoom if possible. I live in Missouri and that’s what I do. Good luck.

It WILL be ok. My sister and I have been thru this. It took a long time but you will be ok, even tho it doesn’t seem like it will ever change. I’m more like my sisters mama (even tho I’m younger).
