i’m a firm believer that another persons needs are and should be everyones responsibility to an extent. that’s how a community grows and flourishes is by taking care of each other when we can.

I'll probably never have kids but i think both should be able to get the same maternity leave so both parents can be there to support the kid but also to be there for each other

yea I never understood the argument about what taxes shouldn’t be used for. I want my taxes to be supporting positive things lol like it benefits me, my friends, my family, my neighbors.

The military (the AF for sure) offers 3 month paternity leave which is very exciting. Especially seeing how most military spouses are far away from family and friends who can help them postpartum.

I had to use PTO if I wanted to get paid for paternity leave. Otherwise I could take 12 weeks unpaid if I wanted to, but who can afford that?

My company gives 6 weeks paid paternity leave that can be taken as single weeks over 6 months, or all together. Some Dad's use a chunk to supplement when Mom had to return to work

My husband had a week paid (they let him go for using it because “he never told them” it’s in multiple texts) so he gets to help with our toddler and me (stitches) in between jobs
