Just watched James Camerons Aliens last night after seeing romulus the other day. i have similar critiques of Aliens, but i still felt it had an intangible quality that made it a little better than romulus. maybe becoause the main cast wasnt all edgy YA characters? idk.

Rewatching all of them now and it’s true. Romulus just didn’t take any big swings the way the others did. Prometheus is silly but atleast it’s weird

The cinematography was great, but the writing & acting felt like a bad CW show. And the scares were giving B-horror which is unacceptable for an Alien movie.
