The interest is killing us! I got a notice stating that I need to start paying $650 a month! How the hell do I do that when I can barely afford my rent

My payments were $0 and now I have a letter saying I need to pay $600/mo. That’s more than my car payment 🥴

why not just set an interest percentage of the loan, roll it into the principle and set monthly payments to 1/120th of the total? that would be easy enough.

What if you are going out of the 6 month grace period next month? I automatically have to do a standard repayment plan. Which personally I feel like isn’t fair because they wouldn’t let me apply

I can't even afford the $160/mo I pay on another plan and SAVE would've had me paying $500+/mo. 😒

I'm going to drown and lose my house if I have to start paying full payments. mine would be over 1k a month and I only have like 150$ a month left after my mortgage and other essential bills 😒

So if I am currently in SAVE plan does that mean I do not need to recertify my loans for the upcoming year?

What happens if you’re enrolled in borrower’s defense? Does this decision affect the borrowers defense program?
