@gainsbydre: You’re training too much and it’s hurting your gains ⬇️ When I first started my fitness journey, I would go to gym basically every day. For one, I was kind of emotionally dependent on the gym lol so I didn’t really know what to do with myself if I wasn’t there. But I was also under the impression that more = more and so the more I trained, the more progress I would make. But as I’ve learned more about the important role recovery plays in your muscle development, I’ve grown to appreciate how that is very much not true. That’s why I generally advise against PPL, the Arnold split, or any split that requires you to train 6x per week. The fatigue you build up over weeks of training this frequently is counterproductive for muscle development. And if you’re able to train 6x per week without building up fatigue, it’s a clear cut sign that you’re probably not training hard enough. From personal experience, I’ve made significantly more progress training 5 days a week and giving myself that extra day to recover so I can hit my workouts just as hard. But what do you think? #gymrat #fitnessreels #workoutmotivation #gymrat #fitnesstransformation #guyswithabs
