Patients constantly ask me if I’m old enough to be their doctor. I’m well into my 40s. It used to offend me but 2 kids and no sleep later I take this as a compliment ! 🤣

that’s why I stop taking antibiotics when I feel better, so I can keep the spares for things like pinkeye or the sniffles, or when the grandkids need them 🥰

It’s rough when you know you actually need an antibiotic. My asthma flares up seasonally, starts as a regular upper respiratory infection, and always ends up being a secondary infection. 🙃

I have tried to adhere to this, but every single nurse I work with thinks that pink eye gets antibiotic. It drives me nuts, so I just give it to the patient anyway. I work in psych inpatient. 🙄

I get my antibiotics over seas when I travel. tobradex works great on pink eye

I got one time Pink eyes in both eyes... after like 10 days I started the antibiotic drops and it was all gone ater two days.

Worked as a receptionist a few years ago before moving to referrals and people used to call CONSTANTLY for antibiotics for the common cold. They don’t work that way 😩

ppl are always calling the vet clinic and asking for random eye drops because their dog has a “runny eye”. “well ma’am, you need to bring them in to know which ones to give you”

When I was a kid I was given antibiotics for my pink eye every spring, it didn't really help. I think you can guess the reason, because my mom did by just reading a few medical books.

I had pinkeye a few months ago. I was told I could return the next day if I was on antibiotics, or after it cleared if I wasn’t. I took the vacay.
