I always assumed since they extend their fangs, after biting the fangs retract to allow for blood flow, I also assumed their saliva contained anticlotting agents to keep it flowing.

Depends on the species (folklore origin story) of the vampire. some just give extreme hickies and some have fangs that are like syringes that first inject an anticoagulant and then draw in the blood

Both are unnecessary. Provided the system is pressurized- I.E., heartbeat- blood flows easily from the wound. Higher pressure- such as the throat- makes clotting more difficult, increasing feed times.

I think it depends on wht kind of vamp we're lookn at if we're lookn at a normal classic vamp I think it's just punctures n then they pull the blood n2 their mouth to drink leaving only 2 punctures
