Back when I was flying I would always write a little note saying “they didn’t change the sheets” and very neatly slide it under the comforter of the undisturbed bed. 🤣

most hotels will tell you that they do but honestly they don't. I for one didn't care if it was a rented room everything got new everything

Former housekeeping manager here - they definitely don’t change the sheets if the bed hasn’t been used. If it has been used or sat on even it should be changed

I do not think they do. I’ve heard of some Crew ripping up the sheets just to make sure for the next person.

When I worked in a hotel they would mark the sheets. Not changing them was a terminable offense.

if hotel staff is doing it correctly, both get changed no matter what. unfortunately I have fired housekeepers for not doing it constantly

I'm an operations manager for a company that owns IHG, Hilton & Marriott properties. Sheets MUST be changed, every bed, every departure, NO MATTER WHAT.

If a guest entered the room. All linens are changed. No matter used or not. Also, always stay at hotels with duvets and not bedspreads :)

They will not change the sheets. I have worked for Marriott and courtyard and Hampton. If one bed doesn’t seem used it will not be changed.

My understanding is they change the sheets regardless they were used or not after you check out on the expectation that the next guest expects fresh clean sheets.

I've worked in hospitality for nearly 7 years. Every bed has their sheets get changed after every check out. You're fine to use the other bed!

I know that they change both beds regardless, so I use the 2nd bed for my suitcase, clothes for the next day and CPAP case. I want everything close so I can get ready quick and grab a few more winks.
