also a good way to practice is to trace over stock photos to practice lining!! definitely helped me figure out how bodies work!

especially beginners artists prioritize style over fundamentals because they see cartony styles and think it's easier than realism. it's 👏 not 👏. learn the fundamentals and have fun with them

Also art style is rarely consistent as you keep improving and finding more artists and things you enjoy. I think it's delusional to try to stick to one single style for the rest of eternity lol.

I see it like an art ‘style’ being more of an involuntary development of growth. Simple terms, no one has your hands and makes the exact same movements to make art. There’s nuances that only you own.

jesus it isnt hard. and ive done everything entirely "wrong" in my art and i do have a style. even if i don't have an exact style i have alot of consistencies in my art to call it an art style.
