i always get nervous to call 911 and wait to see if anything else happens/the noise persists but this honestly changed my mind and i’m just gonna start calling the first time. better safe than sorry

A couple of years ago I heard a thud from my upstairs neighbor (who had small children) but it sounded different, so I turned off my AC & TV and could hear whimpering. It didn’t sit right so I called 911. Turns out her bf had beaten her so bad she was unconscious and then went into a coma. I’m so thankful I decided to listen to my gut.

I called 911 when I was in university & heard a girl above me scream and then heard what sounded like someone being thrown around and a man’s voice. They came & he was taken. Never hesitate to call!

I’ve called on my neighbours multiple times because there’s a DV situation going on there. Even if I worry I’m annoying them, I do it. I’d hate to not call and miss something huge. 🥺
